Dennis has over 30 years of investment experience. Dennis has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Dennis received a Doctorate in Finance from the University of Colorado as well as an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Santa Clara. Prior to founding the firm in 1984, Dennis served on the faculties of University of Colorado, University of Idaho, and Boise State University. As President and CEO of the firm, Dennis oversees all investment strategies.
Cody Barney, CFA
Fixed Income Portfolio Manager and Principal
Cody is a principal in DBF and serves as the firm’s Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. He joined the firm in 2000 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Boise State University where he was selected as the top graduate in finance. He has been recognized by the Idaho Business Review as a 2012 Accomplished Under Forty honoree. Cody has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Brandon Fitzpatrick
Equity Portfolio Manager and Principal
Brandon holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brown University, a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Miami. He has completed his coursework for a doctorate in economics at the University of Miami. Brandon has taught undergraduate courses in economics at the University of Miami, and statistics at Boise State University. He is fluent in Spanish and worked in Buenos Aires as an equity analyst at AGM Finanzas. Brandon co-managed the DBF equity portfolios from 2008-2010 and was appointed portfolio manager in 2011.
Terri Christensen
VP of Operations/CCO and Principal
Terri joined the firm in 2000 and has over 10 years of operations experience and over 5 years of compliance experience. Terri is responsible for management of the day-to-day operations of the firm and for maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Terri holds a BSB in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Drew Black
Commercial Mortgage Portfolio Manager
Drew joined the firm in 1997 and has over 14 years of commercial mortgage experience. Drew manages the DBF Commercial Mortgage Program, is chairman of the Mortgage Investment Committee, and oversees management of Loan Servicing. Drew holds a BBA in Finance from Boise State University.
Humberto Arechiga
Financial Analyst/Trader
Humberto joined the firm in 2011 upon graduating from Boise State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance, and a Minor in Applied Mathematics. His responsibilities include assisting the portfolio managers in conducting economic and financial research, executing trades for the company’s equity portfolio, and reviewing loan applications for the Commercial Mortgage Program.
Ali Farber
Marketing Communications Specialist
Ali joined the firm in 2012 upon graduating with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from Boise State University. Her responsibilities include direct marketing, advertising, and public relations.
